MCHS Marching Band – Tournament of Bands

The MCHS Marching Band traveled to North Schuylkill High School in Ashland, PA on Saturday for the Tournament of Bands, (TOB), competition. The band finished in First Place with a score of 90.80. That score keeps the band in First Place of TOB’s Group 4-Open Class.
Band Director Art Belfiore said the band had their best show of the season in spite of close to half of the students having a cold. “It is an amazing group of young adults. They just “show up” for rehearsal and performances. Even when they don’t feel well, they do an excellent job. This week is the last week of the regular season and over the next three weeks we have our Regional, PA State and Atlantic Coast Championship Events.”
The band will return to North Schuylkill HS next Saturday for the TOB Region 2 and 4 Championship event. The band will perform at 5 PM and tickets are only available at the gate.
